Itinerary

Please note that all times are approximate.

Begin your adventure at Kulen Mountain, a site revered for its natural beauty and spiritual significance. Start at Phoeng Ta Kho, a stunning mountain cliff that offers sweeping views of the surrounding forests and valleys. Then, visit the upper and lower waterfalls, where you can take a refreshing dip in the clear, cool waters or simply relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Next, explore the “River of a Thousand Lingas,” an ancient riverbed adorned with intricate carvings that reflect the spiritual beliefs of the Khmer Empire. Conclude your mountain exploration at Preah Ang Thom, home to the iconic giant reclining Buddha, nestled within a serene mountaintop temple.

After taking in the natural and spiritual wonders of Kulen Mountain, enjoy a lunch break at a local restaurant. We’ll recommend some delicious Khmer dishes to give you a taste of authentic Cambodian cuisine.

In the afternoon, visit Preah Dak village to experience traditional Cambodian life. As you stroll through this charming village, you’ll see traditional houses on stilts, local gardens, and villagers going about their daily activities. It’s an excellent opportunity to witness the simplicity and beauty of rural Cambodian life and to interact with the locals, who often share stories of their crafts and customs. This visit provides a perfect cultural balance to your day of natural exploration.

I made the decision to go with Angkor Doors on pure spec and was very glad I did. Our guide Bunpheng Chan was professional, cheerful, knowledgeable and insightful on the both modern and historical Khmer history and events. We took a half day air conditioned car (4 hour) tour and visited the Wat and Angkor Thom/The Bayon.

Mr Pheng was one of the best tour guides I personally experienced. We never felt that he is trying to take advantage of us and had great passion for his job. He is an interesting person with a lot of knowledge for modern and ancient history and we had amazing talks including big doses of humour!

We used Ankor doors for a 2 day guided tour and it was fabulous! Pheng’s English was good and his knowledge was great. It was very hot and water was provided all day. I don’t think you can visit Ankor Wat without a guide to help you navigate the site and the history.
