Itinerary

Please note that all times are approximate.

Your day begins with a journey to the sacred Kulen Mountain, a site of natural beauty and spiritual significance.

First, visit Phoeng Ta Kho, a stunning cliff viewpoint that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding forests and valleys.

Next, head to the upper and lower waterfalls, where you can relax, take a refreshing swim, or simply enjoy the sight and sound of water cascading over the rocks.

Continue your exploration at the “River of a Thousand Lingas,” where intricate carvings are etched into the riverbed, revealing ancient Khmer art and beliefs.

Lastly, visit Preah Ang Thom, the giant reclining Buddha, a revered spiritual icon nestled within the mountaintop temple. Kulen Mountain offers a mix of adventure, culture, and serenity.

After exploring Kulen Mountain, take a lunch break at a local restaurant. We’ll recommend some authentic Khmer dishes to refuel and prepare you for the afternoon’s activities.

In the afternoon, visit one of Siem Reap’s fascinating floating villages. Depending on the season, you’ll explore either Kampong Phluk (July to February) or Chong Kneas (March to June). As you glide through the waterways by boat, you’ll witness the unique way of life of the villagers, with houses perched on stilts, floating markets, and fishermen at work. This visit provides a captivating look at Cambodia’s traditional culture and its people’s adaptability to the environment.

I made the decision to go with Angkor Doors on pure spec and was very glad I did. Our guide Bunpheng Chan was professional, cheerful, knowledgeable and insightful on the both modern and historical Khmer history and events. We took a half day air conditioned car (4 hour) tour and visited the Wat and Angkor Thom/The Bayon.

Mr Pheng was one of the best tour guides I personally experienced. We never felt that he is trying to take advantage of us and had great passion for his job. He is an interesting person with a lot of knowledge for modern and ancient history and we had amazing talks including big doses of humour!

We used Ankor doors for a 2 day guided tour and it was fabulous! Pheng’s English was good and his knowledge was great. It was very hot and water was provided all day. I don’t think you can visit Ankor Wat without a guide to help you navigate the site and the history.
