What We Do!

Angkor Doors

We’re called “Angkor Doors” because the entrances and exits to the temples are really interesting and tell a story of the temples. The carvings and drawings are so intricate and tell such a wonderful story that it makes me feel happy to explain this in great detail to my clients.

Angkor Doors is a group of professional and experienced tour guides. We have have been provided tours for many years and have met 1000s of tourists and given them a unique experience of the temples at Angkor Wat.

My mom and I had a private tour with knowledgeable and hilarious guide Bunpheng. Bunpheng not only knew the history behind each site, but his years of experience also allowed us to see places in a different order from other groups to avoid crowds.

There are so many choices when it comes to doing a private tour of Angkor. I made the decision to go with Angkor Doors on pure spec and was very glad I did. Our guide Bunpheng Chan was professional, cheerful, and insightful about modern and historical Khmer.

We used Ankor doors for a 2 day guided tour and it was fabulous! Pheng’s English was good and his knowledge was great. It was very hot and water was provided all day. I don’t think you can visit Ankor Wat without a guide to help you navigate the site and the history.

This was an absolutely amazing tour! It covered everything you could want – and certainly all the highlights – in one day. We began before sunrise to get a good spot to watch the beautiful sunrise over Angkor Wat, before exploring inside and then two more temples.

A good move! Our guide, Bunpheng, was very knowledgeable. We had two days in Siem Reap, so we took a small bus tour of the Angkor Wat “small circuit” and enjoyed it. We knew that there was another “grand circuit” of temples, so we decided to do another private tour.

Biography

I was born in 1975 at the start of the Khmer Rouge regime. I was only 4 years old when this brutal regime ended and luckily can’t remember anything about it. I have always lived in Siem Reap and after completing high school, I soon started to work in the growing tourism industry.

I have been working as a tour guide in Siem Reap and the surrounding provinces for many years and I enjoy working with tourists and I am the local owner of Angkor Doors.

Getting around!

Our Transportation

We have many transport options available to help you make the perfect trip. You can enjoy the open air of a tuk tuk ride, the cool air-con in a comfortable taxi. If you have larger groups we can also arrange minivans and minibuses to take you and your group anywhere you want to do.

Angkor Doors Transportation Services

Tuk Tuk – Tuk Tuks are great fun and the open air ride will help you stay cool throughout the tour. Unfortunately, tuk tuks are only suitable for the tours in and around the town and can’t really travel over long distances. You can comfortably fit three people inside one tuk tuk.

Taxi – If you’re looking for a little more comfort than a tuk tuk, then the taxi would be a good choice for you. All our taxis are air-conditioned and a professional and licensed driver is used for each one too. Each taxi can fit three people plus the guide.

Minivan – If you are traveling in a group which is larger than just a few of you, then we would recommend a minivan. Again, all our minivans are air-conditioned and come with a professional and licensed driver. Each minivan can accommodate up to 8 guests.

Minibus – A minibus is a good option for guests who travel in groups of 9 or more. It’s the most cost effective. Like all of our transport options, we provide a professional and licensed driver to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable trip.
