There are so many choices when it comes to doing a private tour of Angkor. I made the decision to go with Angkor Doors on pure spec and was very glad I did. Our guide Bunpheng Chan was professional, cheerful, and insightful about modern and historical Khmer.
We used Ankor doors for a 2 day guided tour and it was fabulous! Pheng’s English was good and his knowledge was great. It was very hot and water was provided all day. I don’t think you can visit Ankor Wat without a guide to help you navigate the site and the history.
This was an absolutely amazing tour! It covered everything you could want – and certainly all the highlights – in one day. We began before sunrise to get a good spot to watch the beautiful sunrise over Angkor Wat, before exploring inside and then two more temples.
A good move! Our guide, Bunpheng, was very knowledgeable. We had two days in Siem Reap, so we took a small bus tour of the Angkor Wat “small circuit” and enjoyed it. We knew that there was another “grand circuit” of temples, so we decided to do another private tour.
